- Biography of Pastor Noel
Derrick C. Noel was born in the
nation of Trinidad and Tobago, August 4, 1957, coming to the United States in
1970. After graduating from the J.E. Burke High School in 1976, and completing
one year of College at Boston’s Northeastern University, Pastor Noel enlisted,
and was honorably discharged from the U.S.A.F. after serving four years. Moving
to Ohio in 1981, he worked in the family business, managing three muffler shops,
(All Kar Muffler). In 1987, the light of Christ Jesus shined in his life and he
accepted Him as Lord and Savior. Baptized in November of 1988, Pastor Noel
attended Moody Bible College and was called into the ministry in 1990.
Faithfully attending Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the tutelage of
Pastor George O. Stewart, he devoted much time to his teaching ministry. In
June, 1994- Pastor Noel organized the Perfect Peace Baptist Church- where he
serves the Lord with gladness!
Through the support of the Perfect Peace family, Pastor Noel maintains an
ongoing outreach ministry known as the Evangelistic Missionary Community
Outreach (EMCO). Through this effort, we minister to over 100 children each week
in the inner city at the Garden Valley, Carver Park and Cedar estates of the
Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. EMCO is a mission that he is most
dedicated to and very proud of.
A previous student of the Moody Bible College, where the emphasis is on sound
biblical teaching; Pastor Noel is a teaching preacher. He is the Sunday School
Lecturer for the Baptist Pastors Council of Cleveland and Vicinity (Pastor
Walter Humphrey, President). Pastor Noel is also on the teaching staff of the
Baptist Ministers Conference (Pastor E. Theopholus Caviness, President). Pastor
Noel has served as a teacher for the City Mission, an Echelon Supervisor for the
Billy Graham Crusade at their Cleveland Revival, and he was the teacher/preacher
for the Fundamental Baptist Mission of Trinidad and Tobago (1993, 1997, 1999,
2000, 2003), He was also privileged to serve the Maranatha Bible College as
Lecturer for the Walter Banks Lecture Series- three times… what an honor!
Pastor Noel currently conducts four weekly Bible Study Classes- and has a weekly
radio broadcast, “The Perfect Peace Hour” on Saturdays, (WHKW 1220 AM at 7:00
PM). He has been a wonderful husband to Mrs. Tonya Stewart Noel for fourteen
years and they share five great children; Marcus (Asya), Kenneth, Gerald, Andrea
and Isaiah. They are blessed with three beautiful grand children; Desire’,
Arielle and Marcus, Jr., and a growing, and loving Church family. |
